(Well, I guess I’d better say something. I am at least partially in charge of the project now.)
On behalf of the manga team, I’d like to apologize for the long hiatus. Things got busy for some of us, which kind of put a bottleneck on the process. I’ve been put in charge of the project recently, so *cross fingers* we’re going to actually get things going again. (If the “CO” is Kyonko, I’m the “XO,” is how I understand it.) I’m not the fastest at this kind of thing by any means, but I hope to at pick up where we left off.
As of right now, I’m getting things organized (I recently found some decent scans from Japanese volume releases). I’m also taking a killer algorithms class with like 10+ hours of homework a week and some other senior level engineering classes, so I can’t give you any definite timetables. However, I thought I’d just reassure you that, yes, this project, the staff, and the site are indeed still alive.
In closing, thanks for all the support! I hope to see you again in the future.
P.S. Oh, right. Me. I also go by calculuswhiz. Maybe 7.62mm NATO, but I hardly ever use that nowadays. I have experience with cleaning, translation, and typesetting, though I may or may not handle all three of those here.
Remember, there’s no chapter 40. Read the last page at ch39 for more info.
By the way, so far there are no more news about the upcoming anime for this series. There was only a modest anouncement in Young Ace, but no dates nor anything else.

Haruhi isn’t thrilled to find Kyon already waiting when she arrives (Who’s going to buy drinks?!) and is even less thrilled by his attractive female friend!
Yesterday was certainly a very busy day for Nagato Yuki, as a lot of anime related blogs posted the news about the upcoming anime for The vanishing of Nagato Yuki-chan – I know, I known, the official translation is “disappearance” but the original manga translate it as “vanishing”. In any case, in a tweet posted by @ultimatemegax you can read this:
The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan has an anime green-lit! http://t.co/7DE32A545p

More reactions to this:
There were some issues with the numbering of chapters in the magazine where Yuki-chan is being published, please read the note at the end of the chapter, the story continues in chapter 41.

Where Haruhi goes, trouble follows!
The two storylines from The Disassociation of Haruhi Suzumiya continue, introducing a new inductee into the S.O.S. brigade who may be more than just the eager freshman she appears to be. As the two realities converge, the SOS Brigade learns that the new member may have the ability to bring the two story “timelines” together… and save the world in the process.
This book was originally published as two separate volumes in Japan, but the U.S. version will feature both volumes for the price of one.
