I have to say, that was alot cuter and kind of more clever than I thought it would be.

Gotta admit, the whole blend of monologuing does confuse, but perhaps that was the intention of the author, he didn’t want you to know exactly who was saying what because he wanted to show how both their feelings were mirrowed by the other or something. Idk, I’m just speculating, because either one of them could’ve said that this is the day they decided on, or perhaps only Nagato thought that and Kyon is the one who is explaining that he can say it because he loves her even more than he did last year or…

Well, perhaps its best not to speculate so much, as I think that might have been the intention.

Either way, I’m ecstatic that this is an actual romcom slice of life that tries to have an okay plot(and succeeds mostly). Everyone knows what happens to one that doesn’t even try to have a plot — stuck in the permanent limbo like Nisekoi *shivers*.

Hyped for the dating in volume 8.

Also, take a long and good rest, dude. You’ve earned it. Don’t even know how many people are grateful for this hard work. Until you’re ready to start again.

Honestly, I really did try to watch Nisekoi the anime. But I just got so sick of it by S1E16 (I’m too stubborn) that I decided to try reading it instead. Then I realized that dropping it was the best choice, and I have no regrets.
Someone said Nisekoi is not supposed to be plot-centric and that comedy between characters is the main focus. Does that make it good? No. It’d be like if you took Detective Conan, made Shinichi a cowardly idiot, took out all the murders, and filled the rest with Conan trying to hide the fact that he’s Shinichi from Ran. It would be boring and terrible. At this point, Raku, or whatever his name is, could die for all I care, and I guarantee it would make a better story. Oh, it would still be terrible, but at least it wouldn’t be boring.
Which brings me to Yuki-chan: yes, it took 60 chapters, but every event built up to this. You had a sense of a developing relationship, and not just another poorly-paced harem “plot”. What’s amazing is that they manage to keep the world events parallel at the same time.
      Okay, I’m done.
