Anime Project, a young Spanish company created by anime fans in 2008, is trying to bring to their country, Spain, the first season of Suzumiya Haruhi on Blu-ray using an interesting model: crowdfunding. For as little as 5 Euros, you can get your own name listed on the credits of the final disc. There are different “prizes” you can get depending on how much you donate, but one of them is quite interesting: if you donate 1,000 Euros, you can even participate in the dubbing!! Well, only 3 places are allowed, and only doing a support character, but it’s an interesting way to attract fundings.

Suzumiya Haruhi Art Books Licensed by Udon

Haruhi Suzumiya Art Books Licensed

Udon Entertainment announced on Oct 12th, their acquisition of licenses for the art books Haruhi Suzumiya Illustrations: Spring & Summer and Haruhi Suzumiya Illustrations: Autumn & Winter. They previously announced on July another license, the art book Haruhi-ism: Haruhi Suzumiya Illustrations. They expect to release these books next year: “Haruhi-ism” in 2013-Q1, “Spring & Summer” in 2013-Q2, and “Autumn & Winter” in 2013-Q3.

Moe Day: Nagato Yuki voted 18th place

“It’s fine as long as I’m your #1!!”

Apparently October 10th was declared as the Moe Day cause the kanjis for October 10 (十日十月) look like the kanji for Moe (萌). Biglobe selected that date to close out a poll to select the cutest character, and Nagato Yuki got the 18th place, Suzumiya Haruhi was 23th, and Kyon’s sister was 40th. As incredible as it may be, the über-moe Asahina Mikuru was ignored!! There’s no justice in this word.
